Write a letter to the Mayor and tell him to save Kezar Gardens! The Recreation and Parks Department have been trying to evict us since 2010. We have fought hard to challenge their unlawful eviction attempts and currently await the ruling of a State Appeals court. Until that time, a local judge has granted us permission to remain at 780 Frederick Street as we have been since 1974. Kezar Gardens is a project of HANC (Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council)
The only other way to reverse this eviction is through Mayor Edwin Lee. Mayor Lee holds the power to overturn the eviction set down by Rec and Park. Write to him and let him know how Kezar Gardens benefits your life and the surrounding community. Let him know how it welcomes a diverse range of people from different ethnic backgrounds and economic classes to come together in the spirit of community and environmental health.
Tell him to SAVE KEZAR GARDENS.
